Kamineko is a bit of a mystery. He doesn't seem to belong to anyone as such but just hangs out in alleyways or on walls. He knows that Sakaki will always be walking past and he can't wait for her to try her luck.
The name Kamineko actually means "Biting Cat" which is quite appropriate.
